We’re proud to support Hot Docs, North America’s largest documentary festival. Each year, Hot Docs showcases over 200 films to audiences of more than 200,000. With the Scotiabank Big Idea Series we’re delighted to support this world class documentary festival.

Scotiabank CONTACT
Photography Festival
Each May, the Toronto area is enlivened with a month-long celebration of contemporary photography. CONTACT is the largest photography event in the world, bringing together over 1,500 Canadian and international artists and photographers exhibiting at more than 175 venues throughout the GTA. The festival stimulates excitement and discussion among an audience of over 1.5 million.

Scotiabank Photography Award
The Scotiabank Photography Award (SPA) is Canada’s largest and most prestigious annual peer-nominated and peer-reviewed award that acknowledges the outstanding contribution that our winners have made to contemporary art and photograph. Designed to raise the international profile of established Canadian photographic artists, the shortlist is announced every March in Toronto. The winner is announced in May during the Scotiabank CONTACT Photography Festival, along with the opening of the exhibition and the book launch for the previous year’s winner.

Scotiabank Giller Prize
Scotia Wealth Management is proud to celebrate Canadian excellence in fiction through our support of the Scotiabank Giller Prize. The Giller Prize is responsible in part for the continued growth of Canadian literary talent. Follow the excitement as it builds to the announcement of both the short and long list, culminating with the winner announced at the Fall gala.
